- April 2012: Etihad Airways launches its first-ever passenger service to Kenya, establishing local ticketing footprints to capture regional business and safari traffic.
- 2020: Due to COVID-19 and network restructuring, passenger flights to Nairobi are indefinitely suspended.
- December 15, 2024 : Etihad officially resumes direct flight operations from Abu Dhabi to Nairobi. The inaugural flight (EY767) lands at JKIA on an Airbus A320. It kicks off with 4 weekly flights.
- January 2025 : The airline officially opens its brand-new corporate sales hub in the GTC Main Tower in Westlands through its General Sales Agent (GSA), ITVAR Travel, which manages the airline's local corporate office.
- December 15, 2025 : Due to overwhelming travel demand, Etihad expanded its schedule to a twice-daily (14 weekly flights) operation, drastically improving global connectivity options for Kenyan passengers.

- Abu Dhabi to Nairobi: Flights depart Abu Dhabi twice daily, with an early morning option at 02:05 AM and an afternoon option at 14:00 PM.
